Are you searching for a review of Scott Hilse’s Simplified Dropshipping course?

You may have seen Scott Hilse’s commercials or videos on social media if you want to establish an eCommerce company. However, you could ask whether it really works.

Many gurus promise to teach individuals how to earn money online, but most of their claims are false.

I’ve done extensive study on Scott Hilse’s course and am certain that I can tell you all you need to know.

I’ll also tell you about a far superior option at the conclusion of this post that has allowed me to create a full-time passive income online.

I’m not linked with Scott Hilse, just to be clear. That is to say, I am not being compensated for writing this review for him. As a result, you can be certain that my opinions are impartial.

In this Simplified Dropshipping course review, I’ll go through the following topics.

Scott Hilse, who is he?

Scott is most well-known for his YouTube channel, as well as his appearances in Oberlo’s teaching videos. He has roughly 89.9K followers on YouTube as of this writing.

scott hilse – simplified dropshipping review, scam or legit?

Scott claims to be endorsed by Oberlo, Shopify, and Tai Lopez on his LinkedIn profile.

Scott, who is also a member of the Tai Lopez 300 Group, is featured in the Oberlo 101 Dropshipping Course. (Joining the Tai Lopez 300 Group is $697.)

What is a Simplified Dropshipping Course, and how does it work?

Scott Hilse is a dropshipping specialist who claims to have made his fortune doing so. He is now instructing others on how to generate money online via dropshipping. Simplified Dropshipping is the name of his course.

Simplified Dropshipping by Scott Hilse is just that. The introductory and outro films, as well as the full course, are under three hours long.

This could be the one for you if you’re searching for a quick course to get you started.

Scott Hilse, unlike many other dropshippers, argues for focusing a dropshipping shop on a single item.

Simplified Dropshipping: An Overview

This course has 28 individual video lessons with a total watching duration of 2 hours and 49 minutes.

Lesson 1: $1600/day Template for a One-Product Store

Scott Hilse jumps right in and demonstrates how he came up with $1,600 in a single day in this session. However, he makes no mention of the fact that it was a result from 2017. After all, it was just one day, not every day. When the profits are added together, it seems that less than $300 was earned every day.

When I go to Scott Hilse’s Shopify stores, everything-summer.myshopify.com and 1dealatatime.com, I find that they are already closed.

It’s probable that Scott Hilse has closed all of his locations. He, like other gurus, is probably earning the majority of his money by selling courses rather than dropshipping. As a result, he can only show you old stats.

Lesson 2: Setting Up the Interior of the Store

Scott Hilse covers how to build up a Shopify shop in this session. He takes care of the set-up:

  • Setup of the Store in General
  • Settings for check-out
  • Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy
  • Pages to Add (Policies, Contact pages)
  • Menu Item Addition
  • Zones of Navigation
  • Payment Service Providers
  • Choosing a Business Plan for Your Store

You expect the expert to share some exclusive knowledge with you, but Scott just regurgitates information that can be found for free on YouTube. Of course, if you’re just starting off, this will be beneficial, but I wouldn’t pay for it just yet.

Lesson 3: Buying & Connecting a Domain

Scott Hilse advises utilizing Google Domains in this lecture. He walks you through finding a domain name, registering it, and connecting it to a Shopify shop.

Setting Up Your Facebook Page (Lesson 4)

Scott Hilse demonstrates how to create a Facebook Business Page, including how to use Canva to create a logo (cover picture), banner, and a button that directs visitors to your website.

Lesson 5: Setting up a Business Ad Account with Pixels

Scott Hilse will walk you through the process of creating a Facebook Business account from scratch in this course.

Product Research (lesson 6)

Scott Hilse demonstrates how he discovers things using Facebook, Google Trends, AliExpress, and Google in this lecture.

Importing Your First Product (Lesson 7)

Scott Hilse teaches how to use Oberlo to import your first product into your Shopify shop in this session.

Lesson 8: Putting Your Pixel to the Test

Going into Shopify Payment Service Providers, Scott demonstrates how to use Test Mode. You can get this information for free elsewhere.

The Freedom Funnel (lesson 9)

The “freedom funnel” is nothing more than a collection of free applications Scott deployed on his site to boost conversions. Scott walks you through how to set up the Abandoned Cart and Countdown Timer applications.

Lesson 10: Obtaining a Massive Number of FREE Page Likes in a Matter of Seconds

Scott recommends inviting all of your Facebook friends to like the page if you want a lot of free Facebook page likes. In practice, this does not function.

Lesson 11: Before Using Facebook Ads, Make Sure You Understand This

This class begins with a disclaimer from Scott Hilse. Before you begin the Facebook Ads program, Scott Hilse cautions you that you must be ready to lose money. This may seem to be a contradiction, yet it is really solid counsel.

When it comes to running advertising, even the experts make blunders from time to time. They may spend over $1,000 on advertisements in a six-week period yet only make $100 in sales.

Lesson 12: Method #1 for Launching Your First Facebook Ad

This lesson’s video demonstrates how to make a Facebook video ad. Beginners may find it challenging to follow Scott Hilse’s instructions since he does so quickly. Scott Hilse demonstrates how to deploy it in Facebook Ads Manager after you’ve completed it.

Lesson 13: Method #2 for Launching Your First Facebook Ad

Scott Hilse demonstrates how to utilize video to generate interest in your product or shop once again. He employs comedy this time in the hopes of gaining a large number of views and making the video go viral. He discovers and reposts an amusing niche-specific YouTube video.

Lesson 14: Using Facebook Ads to Get a Lot of Likes on Your Page

Scott Hilse demonstrates how to find out who liked your Facebook advertising. After that, you invite them to join your Facebook Page/Store.

Lesson 15: Order Processing

With Scott Hilse’s help, you’ll learn how to utilize Oberlo to swiftly and efficiently place orders with your suppliers in this session.

Lesson 16: Facebook Ads Strategy: From 0 to 100 Orders

Scott Hilse demonstrates how to target certain locations for your video advertising depending on what you learned from the interactions with your video ad in this session.

When to Form an LLC (Lesson 17)

Scott Hilse explains when an LLC should be formed in this session. He also recommends a business to create an LLC with.

Lesson 18: When & How To Outsource

Scott Hilse explains which activities you should outsource and where you can locate a Virtual Assistant in this course.

Lesson 19: Advanced Facebook Ads Strategy: From 100 to 10,000+ Orders (LAAs)

Scott Hilse advocates developing Lookalike Audiences and exposes you to his scaling strategy as soon as you reach 100 orders in this session. Scott Hilse thinks that by then, you’ll have received more than 10,000 orders.

Manual Bidding (Lesson 20)

Scott Hilse’s manual ad bidding approach: Scott Hilse demonstrates his manual bidding process.

Converting To A Niche Store (Lesson 21)

As soon as your product is no longer selling well, Scott Hilse recommends turning your Shopify business into a specialized store. Scott Hilse demonstrates how to get a new domain, set up a Shopify shop, and build a Facebook company page.

Lesson 22: When & How to Sell Your Store

Scott Hilse explains the Shopify Exchange Market and why selling your shop is a smart idea. He does not, however, teach you how to go about doing it.

Lesson 23: What You Can Do With Clients Based On Your Results (Additional Passive Income!)

Sales show that your Facebook advertisements and tactics are effective. Scott Hilse proposes in this lesson that you may then teach small companies on how to run advertisements for them or on their own. Because this course is barely 2 minutes long, it provides no assistance or insight for anyone interested in profiting from this business strategy.

Lesson 24: The Price/Steve Jobs Method of Sam Walton

Scott Hilse describes his pricing approach in this lecture, which incorporates ideas from Sam Walton, Steve Jobs, and Jeff Bezos. It does not, however, explain how to price your goods precisely.

Lesson 25: Using Multiple Products

I’m not sure I understand this lesson. To this point, Scott Hilse has only worked with single-product shops, but suddenly there are several items. He makes no recommendations as to when or how you should include several goods into your business.

Lesson 26: Online Reputation Management

This course will teach you how to control your reputation on your phone in a simple and straightforward manner. Essentially, you monitor all of the comments in your Facebook newsfeed and remove anything that is bad.

How to Get FREE Targeted Traffic (Lesson 27)

When you don’t have a large marketing budget or want to test items, Scott Hilse recommends joining niche-specific forums and linking to your product. This strategy, however, does not function in practice.

Outro (lesson 28)

Scott Hilse thanks you for taking the course, wishes you well, and encourages you to keep studying in this last session. Scott Hilse also offers some tips on how to use various phone applications to make your life easier.

Bonus

You have access to Scott’s Mentorship Facebook Group where he promises to personally guide and answer all your questions. You can also attend Weekly Q&A Live Calls.

Dropshipping Pricing Made Simple

Dropshipping made simple isn’t cheap. It will set you back $497. I believe it is expensive, since there are cheaper options available.

A lot of the content in this course is also available for free online. As a result, I would not spend $497 on this course.

Pros and Cons of Simplified Dropshipping

Pros

  • The course will instruct you on the fundamentals of dropshipping.
  • Although the instructions are simple, it covers how to run Facebook advertising.

Cons

  • Scott Hilse rushes through several crucial ideas and does not explain them well.
  • The majority of the footage is available for free on YouTube.
  • Scott Hilse makes a lot of outlandish assertions that aren’t true.
  • Given the minimal material, the course is expensive.
  • This course does not provide any insider information.
  • Scott Hilse has a habit of displaying statistics that are no longer valid.

Is Scott Hilse a con artist?

Scott Hilse is not a con artist, in my opinion. At the very least, I don’t have any proof to back up my claim. This does not, however, imply that I recommend this course.

It’s probable that he’s a thriving dropshipper. His course, however, is quite rudimentary, and the most of the material can be acquired for free on the internet.

Furthermore, dropshipping is not simple. Many individuals still believe dropshipping is simple, and Scott Hilse contributes to this misconception.

People may submit a number of sales screenshots as testimonials, but they don’t disclose the prices. So you have no idea what your net profit is.

Even if you can double or even treble the cost of an item, you must still deduct all of your expenditures, the most crucial of which is promotion.

Some months, I know dropshippers that earn as low as 5% profit. Make the calculations. Even at a 20% profit, the stats aren’t very outstanding. Some dropshippers even lose money with their marketing operations due to the high cost of social media advertising.

In the following piece, I’ll go into some of the issues with dropshipping that Scott Hilse prefers to gloss over when marketing his course.

Is Dropshipping Still A Good Idea In 2021?

I’ve done dropshipping previously, and I can tell you that it’s becoming more harder. If you want to establish a six-figure dropshipping company, you’ll have to put in some effort to understand out how it works. Here are a few reasons why I don’t think dropshipping is a good idea: 1. Financial Danger

If you don’t advertise, your dropshipping shop will not sell anything. However, Facebook ad expenses are increasing, eroding your PROFITS. It might take weeks or even months to break even, much alone make a profit. To put it another way, dropshipping requires you to assume a LARGE FINANCIAL RISK.

2. Facebook Ads are Expensive and Time Consuming

Based on the experiences of most dropshippers, the total cost of your Facebook ads will account for at least 30% of your entire sales. However, Facebook advertising are seldom successful for lengthy periods of time. Your ad becomes useless after the audience has been fatigued. Your overall income will be much reduced, and you may even lose money. According to Forbes, Facebook’s ad expenses have increased by 90% year over year.

Forbes Facebook Ads Cost Worse still, since Facebook’s algorithm is always changing, the learning curve for Facebook advertisements is rather high. Learning and testing Facebook Ads will take a significant amount of time and money. If you run Facebook advertisements without any prior expertise, your account will be suspended for breaking the company’s rigorous standards.

3. Customer Service

You must spend a lot of time negotiating with suppliers and dealing with customer support while dropshipping. You must wait for your supplier to assist you if your client has a problem with the goods. You must face the loss if your supplier is not cooperative. As a result, many dropshipping shops have negative customer reviews and no repeat customers. In the worst-case scenario, you should anticipate a high number of credit card chargebacks, putting your payment gateway at danger of being shut down.

4. A significant amount of effort was put into product research.

To maintain your shop profitable, you must constantly locate a product with the potential to become viral in order to pay the expenditures of advertising.

Most items in dropshipping achieve their peak in 1-2 months or even weeks. This is due to the fact that numerous rivals will copy your goods and make a better advertisement. Alternatively, they may boost their Facebook ad spending to outbid you.

As a result, you must continue to identify fresh substitutes in order to generate cash flow.

People may report revenues on the internet, but they do not disclose the net revenue. Some of them may be profitable, but it isn’t long-term.

The dropshipping business idea isn’t as simple as it seems. The majority of individuals who succeed at dropshipping do it full-time since it demands you to constantly source new goods, create new businesses, test new marketing, and hunt for new suppliers in order to maintain a consistent revenue.

Is There an Easier & Better Alternative to Scott Hilse’s Simplified Dropshipping?

You could ask whether there is a better business strategy that doesn’t need Facebook advertisements and can be done as a side hustle if you don’t want to squander your time or jeopardize your hard-earned money. Yes, I recommend that you begin with affiliate marketing. You don’t even have to deal with customer service, so it’s a lot simpler and less time consuming.

Affiliate marketing allows you to operate your company for absolutely little money. Most significantly, you won’t have to spend any money on product development.

However, how much money can you make with affiliate marketing? A 21-year-old student from my #1 rated affiliate marketing training platform earned $7,395 in only one week, or more than $1000 per day…all while utilizing free traffic strategies and affiliate marketing.
