Tim Sanders is the founder of the investment firm TwoSigma. He has been quoted as saying, “I’m very confident that in 10 years volatility will be zero.”
Tim Sanders is an American businessman and investor. He is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Amazon.com. His net worth is estimated to be $160 billion.
You may have heard of Tim Sanders if you’re planning to start an Amazon company. You may be wondering whether Private Label Masters is a template for success in Amazon FBA right now. Is it true, or is it a ruse?
Amazon FBA is unquestionably one of the few companies that is currently developing at a rapid pace in Covid 19. This is what motivates so many prospective entrepreneurs who want to try their hand at eCommerce to look into the worldwide marketplace.
However, given the fierce competition, you may wonder whether it’s still viable to earn a profit.
You may trust that my evaluation is impartial since I’m not linked with Private Label Masters (PLM) or Tim Sanders.
The following is a list of topics I’ll be discussing in my Private Label Masters review.
Tim Sanders, who is he?
Tim has been an Amazon FBA seller for more than three years. After a year of running his own FBA company, he decided to build the Private Label Masters course.
Tim exclusively teaches you the tactics that he uses in his own FBA company, which is one of the unique characteristics of Private Label Masters.
If you’re interested in learning more about Tim’s course, you may join his basic Facebook group. However, if you want to join the VIP one, you must first purchase the course. Tim has a Youtube account where he has been posting two videos every two weeks for the last two years.
Recommendation: This Is The Most Effective Alternative
What should you anticipate from Private Label Masters?
The Private Label Masters course lays out a step-by-step plan for starting an Amazon FBA company. After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Learn how to choose “evergreen” items that will continue to sell for a long time.
- Learn how to locate the finest vendors.
- To enhance organic ranks and produce more sales, understand the structure of pay-per-click campaigns and sophisticated PPC methods.
- Keep an eye on your ad spending.
A Look at Private Label Masters
1st Module: Introduction 25 minutes and 21 seconds in length Tim starts this lecture by emphasizing that Private Label Masters is not a get-rich-quick scam.
However, after 6 months of focused effort and a specific mentality that incorporates a strong work ethic and self-awareness, it is feasible to be profitable.
There are five important components of business, according to Tim:
- Mentality (Tim encourages you to push through all the difficulties)
- Licensing (he discusses different licensing structures and why he chose an LLC)
- Imposition of taxes (he explains why you a business CPA and how to get an EIN)
- Insurance (he advises rookies against selling “high liability goods”)
- Fees charged by Amazon (he tells you the costs of selling products on Amazon)
One thing I dislike about this lesson is that Tim spends a lot of time discussing mentality rather than the amount of money required to run a successful Amazon company. While I agree that you must be persistent and patient, I believe it is much more critical that you take charge of your money. After all, you’re just purchasing cheap from suppliers and selling premium to consumers.
In truth, starting a private label company on Amazon is not inexpensive. If I were Tim, I’d spend more time reviewing the various options for obtaining a company loan.
However, if he spoke more about money, his pupils would quickly realize that it takes the typical seller a few years to produce a consistent revenue.
To put it another way, you’ll need money to start an Amazon company.
Module 2: Product Research Duration: 2 hours, 54 minutes, & 14 seconds
Tim illustrates his company structure using a baseball example. He emphasizes that increasing profitability requires company stability, which comes from having a large number of items making a few sales each day rather than one product making a hundred sales in 24 hours. Tim also discusses the following topics:
- Products to stay away from (he gives specific genres)
- Patents and trademarks
- Research Instruments
- Simple product adjustments to boost perceived values
- Methods for locating low-competition niches
Tim provides you a 40,000-foot picture of the FBA company after teaching you how to source items. He emphasized that the objective is to create a brand (a collection of connected items) that continuously generates revenue. He ends by reminding people to be patient while looking for things and to visit Trademarkia.com to see whether the products they want to sell have patents.
Module 3: Sourcing Products 51 minutes and 49 seconds in length
This lesson addresses three (3) aspects of product sourcing:
Part 1: Alibaba.com Overview
Tim conducts a brief tour of Alibaba, demonstrating the many filters available and which ones he favours.
Part 2: Developing Great Supplier Relationships
- Multiple vendors may be contacted at the same time.
- Recognizing cultural differences
- How can you maintain a long-term connection with the greatest supplier you’ve discovered?
Part 3: How to Negotiate a Manufacturer’s Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) Professionally
- You’ll need this information before you talk to the manufacturer about a deal.
- What questions should you ask the vendor?
- Use the minimum order quantity to your advantage.
Tim teaches the following techniques in these eight videos:
- When interacting with suppliers, how to multitask
- How to do a proper self-introduction
- Using Chinese influence to haggle for a better deal
- Organizing repeated inspections of your samples to ensure that they are of the highest quality
Tim’s training demonstrates that engaging Chinese suppliers requires a variety of approaches, such as casual chit-chat, in order to establish a long-term business connection. In truth, the majority of manufacturers are anxious to serve you since they are all offering the same popular items. You may simply click away and find an other provider.
Don’t get me wrong: I think it’s great. I’m not implying that you can avoid doing your homework. You’ll still need to compare the costs supplied by other vendors. This may help you avoid being overcharged.
Most importantly, if you want to lay the groundwork for a long-term business partnership, you must demonstrate to your supplier that your company is well-established. As a result, the manufacturer will be more careful with quality control, fearing that you would stop making future orders.
Module 4: Transportation
Tim covers why Amazon private label FBA Sellers need a freight forwarder, how to receive shipping quotations from a variety of suppliers, how to obtain shipping labels, and how to place your first order with your supplier in this session.
Tim’s training approaches included the following:
- Being aware of your choices (sea and air, when to use which shipping method, etc.)
- Freightos and Flexport are two of the vendors he has reviewed.
- Avoid sending your stuff to Amazon directly.
- How to submit your shipping labels to the provider quickly and simply
Tim recommends using a forwarding/inspection service (done by the same company). This may help you save money on Amazon’s long-term storage costs while also ensuring that your things are in excellent working order.
Finally, Tim demonstrates how to avoid purchasing sub-par things at your own risk.
Module 5: Branding and Optimization of Listings
2 hours, 33 minutes and 33 seconds
Tim discusses branding design methods and how to optimize your product listings in this session.
You will study the following in this lesson:
- What to think about while coming up with a brand name.
- How to make your product’s labeling procedure easier.
- Three pointers to help you make the most of your keywords
- Tim’s favorite data-driven tool is shown.
- How to Use Amazon’s Auto-populate Feature to Make Seed Word Lists
Aside from that, Tim’s copywriter, Stacey, will teach you six copywriting strategies to use in your listing optimization process, including
- How do you know what your product is?
- How to Understand Your Market
- What is the best way to develop a title that would appeal to customers?
- Organizing your bullets by properly planning them out
- Using a creative product description to engage your consumers
- There’s more to editing than simply grammar and spelling.
Module 6: It’s Time to Launch Your Product! Approximately 48 minutes and 39 seconds in length.
Tim covers two different approaches to launch your items in this session.
Part 1: Using Amazon’s “ZonJump” Launch Service (as stated by ZJ’s CEO)
ZonJump’s CEO, Leo’s Leo, walks you through the platform and the complete launch process, from pre-launch priorities to using Zonjump’s FBA experts.
Part 2: Tim’s Detailed Training on Using Zuckerberg’s Platform to Launch Additional Products (FB)
Tim demonstrates two approaches for obtaining an Amazon-domained shop URL in the first part of the video. The Storefront URL Method and The Two-Step URL Method are his names for them.
Following that, Tim shows you how to make Facebook advertising using Microsoft Paint.
Tim reveals several other hacks in the sixth segment:
- Increasing the reach of a Facebook ad by changing the picture format
- 3x your ad’s performance by tweaking the ad wording
- Using a tool within Helium 10 to track the results of certain keywords
Module 7: Amazon’s PPC (Sponsored Products)
Aaron Eaton, Tim’s assistant who specializes in PPC campaign development and optimization, teaches this subject.
Aaron created a series of eight videos (plus a bonus ninth):
- Choosing Keywords
- ACoS & Bidding Prices
- The Automated Marketing Campaign
- Manual Efforts (Pyramid of PPC, from broad to exact match)
- Report on Search Terms
- Pyramid of PPC (keyword filtering cycle explained)
- Increasing the Number of Keywords
- Tasks for the Week
- The Ultimate Marketing Campaign
Aaron lays forth a step-by-step plan for you to follow. When conducting a real PPC campaign, he goes through each step in the sequence in which it is set up.
Module 8: Maintain Your Business, Then Scale It 1 hour, 1 minute, and 25 seconds
Tim offers a wealth of brand-building ideas in this session, including:
- How to Get the Most Out of Product Reviews
- How to make extra money with Amazon promotions
- Maintaining sales by keeping an eye on three components of your company
- How do you deal with a scenario when you’re out of stock?
- Split testing is a technique for improving listing performance.
- Getting the most bang for your buck with your lightning deals
- Getting rid of the hijackers
- The advantages of registering a trademark
- What are the greatest places to look for virtual assistants?
- Here are a few pointers to help you be reimbursed faster.
This module expands on the themes discussed in modules 1 through 7. One of the most essential hints is how to handle a scenario when you’re running out of goods. To retain your keyword ranks, he recommends staying in stock as long as possible.
Is it true that Private Label Masters is a rip-off? Is the course worthwhile?
When it comes down to it, you are the only one who can decide.
Overall, this is a credible course since Tim is an Amazon FBA seller who attempts to keep his course up-to-date by revising it on a regular basis.
However, you must be mindful of the expenses of operating an Amazon FBA company. Tim puts in a lot of effort to provide you with a practical education on the bulk of the aspects of starting a private label company. However, Amazon is just too complicated, and no school can teach you what you need to know.
The price, on the other hand, is entirely dependent on your budget, since there is no promise of benefits.
The Amazon FBA business model’s flaws
Tim emphasizes that beginning an Amazon FBA company takes perseverance and unwavering commitment, and that it is not for the faint of heart.
The following are some of the reasons why I would not endorse Amazon FBA as a business model:
A high initial expense is required for an Amazon FBA operation.
You’ll need at least $15-20k to start an Amazon company.
Furthermore, since you cannot begin without prior knowledge, you must pay for an FBA course. For example, Private Label Masters costs $5000, or $1,500 less if purchased over the phone (which gives them an opportunity to persuade you).
You’ll also need to pay for product samples and inventory, labeling and shipping, product launch services/pay-per-click advertising, and Amazon Marketing Services. Once you start selling on Bezos’ site, the initial $10,000 will be soon depleted.
In a nutshell, it takes a long time and costs a lot of money. So, if you really want to risk your hard-earned money, you must consider again.
The FBA business is complicated.
Even though Amazon undertakes a lot of the legwork for you, getting a product listing up and running takes a lot of effort.
Aside from that, you must deal with a slew of mundane activities on a regular basis. For example, you must negotiate with suppliers, compare shipping firms and freight forwarders, and adhere to Amazon and local government rules, among other things.
For novices searching for a side hustle or a source of passive income that needs minimal time and commitment, this procedure is much too advanced.
There isn’t any immediate cash flow.
A company’s cash flow is its lifeblood. However, with the Amazon FBA business model, most sellers must spend a significant amount of money to buy inventory from Chinese suppliers.
The charges will be significantly greater if you want to develop a one-of-a-kind private label product. Most Chinese manufacturers, for example, charge a few hundred dollars only to create a prototype. If you don’t believe me, you can get a quote from Alibaba.com.
Depending on the nature of the items and the quantity, manufacture might take anywhere from 1-2 months. After that, it takes 2 weeks to ship and pass customs before arriving at Amazon’s warehouse.
This method suggests that you may not get compensated for the merchandise you purchased for many months.
Profitability is harmed by price wars.
Amazon is rife with price wars. When a vendor lowers their pricing in order to attract more clients, other merchants are driven to drop their prices as well.
You may need to reduce product expenses to prevent a net loss. As a consequence, product quality suffers, consumers provide unfavorable feedback, and sales suffer as a result.
You must cope with shifting sales tax regulations, category limits, and Amazon rules, in addition to the fierce competition.
In the worst-case scenario, if you breach certain restrictions by accident, Amazon may permanently ban your account.
Is There an Easier & Better Alternative to Private Label Masters?
Whether you’re new to internet business, you may ask if there’s a better business model that doesn’t need any upfront investment and can be done as a side job.
Affiliate marketing is the simplest and most lucrative business plan I’ve attempted so far.
Affiliate marketing allows you to operate your company for absolutely little money. Most significantly, you won’t have to spend any money on product development.
It also takes less time since you don’t have to deal with inventory or customer service.
While on vacation or at a full-time job, you may earn a consistent stream of passive money.
Because the world is full of uncertainty, I’d always choose for the lowest-risk business approach.
However, how much money can you make with affiliate marketing?
A 21-year-old student from my #1 rated affiliate marketing training platform earned $7,395 in only one week, or more than $1000 per day…all while utilizing free traffic strategies and affiliate marketing.
